The 1st team also got a win to keep up their promotion chances whilst the 2nds ran leaders Ludgvan close at Trewirgie but to no avail. Rain scuppers our Promotion chasing teams

After a wet week, the rain failed to cease this weekend as two of our games got stopped during play. The 1XI game at home to Hayle was restricted to 30 overs a side but the game was called off at tea with Hayle finishing on 152-6. The seconds had a full game away to Mullion but were bowled out for 77 with only 9 men. Goldsithney ruined the Thirds chances of claiming a vital win as the contraversial team walked off with the Reds needing just 12 to win.

The 2nds edged out in a narrow contest to Constantine by just the 1 run. The 3rds claimed a win over their local rivals Stithians by 117 runs which means they are now just a couple of points away from promotion. Redruth U-13s Win the St Gluvias Tournament!

Redruth U-13s won the St Gluvias Cup for the first time ever today as they beat Rosudgeon by 8 wickets in the final. Bowling first they bowled out their oponents for 74 thanks to some fantastic bowling by Ben Axon in particular who ran riot through the middle order. In reply, it was Will Harris who lead the way with an unbeaten 48 as he and Harvey Jones (22 not out) guided the Reds home without the loss of a wicket. Full Story to come soon!

3rds and 4ths begin to gather momentum whilst its the oposite for our top two teams

Redruth 1XI lost a vital game away to Camborne which knocks them off the top of County 1. The seconds lost out narrowly at home to Paul whilst the thirds showed they are back on form as they chased 210 runs with ease at St Just whilst the fourths proved they are not a one-man team with a victory over Gerrans despite Chris Pearn only scoring 2 runs!

Chris goes one better...well 11 to be precise!
After Chris Pearn scored 190 in his last innings two weeks ago, it was hard to see when that score would be beaten. But this weekend, Pearn scored 201 within 25 overs to beat his own record! His innings helped the fourths to record a 70 run win over Constantine. Elsewhere, the thirds lost a crucial game away to Truro whilst rain stopped play for both first and second teams.
