"At a full meeting of the Cornwall Cricket Board held on Wednesday 5 December 2007, the Cornwall Cricket League Management Committee, Redruth CC and Bude CC gave presentations concerning the issues surrounding the eligibility of Mr Cameron Rope to play in the Cornwall Cricket League during the 2007 season.

The Board reviewed all the information and after careful consideration it was unanimously decided that:

Bude CC be fined £400

Bude CC 1st XI be deducted a total of 27points

Mr Cameron Rope be suspended from playing for Bude CC or any other club in the Cornwall Cricket League for the 2008 season

Bude CC receive a reprimand and warning as to the future administration of the club."

This has been a tough couple of weeks for Redruth and Cornish cricket in general, with the ramifications of this decision effecting some 13 clubs. It would be unfair to go into the in's and outs of who said what and who was right or wrong. Needless to say Redruth Cricket Club  would like to thank all those individuals and clubs who got behind our case, worked hard behind the scenes to ensure the Cornwall Cricket Board were given the true facts and were able to make their decision.
