Harry Bolland Nickname: H Regular Team: 1st XI Role in team: Main target of abuse, spunk-catcher and cricketer. Best score and bowling figures?: 110* and 7-42 Cricket Idol: I don't idolise anybody to be honest. Whats been your best game for the club and why? Helping the 2nd XI to a total of 274 being on 96* in the last over and ending up on 110* off three balls, opening the bowling and taking 2 wickets and then a catch at point; good day. And the worst? Back in the Newquay days we lost quick wickets and I was on the other side of the pitch and was told I was next in. Only to run over get my pads on run out their and get cleaned up first ball! Whats the funniest thing youve seen in cricket? Darren Shorland impersonating a t-rex for 22 games. Favourite Sledge: After being hit in the box; "Don't rub it you'll get an erection." Beacon away a few years ago. had them nine down and i dropped a catch on the boundary to win the match with 2 runs to win, they won and we got relgated by 2 points that season.... sorry nige. Taking last wicket versus Camborne off last ball to win Vinter Cup game with 1 run to win. Because it was Camborne. And the worst? Golden duck, dropped a dolly and awful bowling v St Austell. Nice days work. Whats the funniest thing youve seen in cricket? Gabby. Or Guffers asking to bowl each week, then getting hit for 6 into the graveyard when he did bowl. 3rd XI (Clijah Super Kings)
Rob Thomas Nickname: Robbo Regular Team: 3XI but now being called up for Magners C.C. Role in team: Death Batsmen, Loudmouth, Umpire and part-time Scorer! Best score and bowling figures?: Not Enough, somehow took 3 wickets in 2 overs in a youth game once Cricket Idol: TJ Moran, a Grampound Road character and an inspiration. Whats been your best game for the club and why? Taking four catches for the 3rds against Falmouth 4ths. But I will probably remeber it more for the constant sledging Jacko and I dished out to the batsmen. They were not happy! And the worst? Watching father drop a sitter of a catch off my bowling. Whats the funniest thing youve seen in cricket? Watching Jake Ireson trying but failing to do a Dilshan in a league game! I remeber looking at him and just watching him smile back at me, I knew he was going to do it. Shame it ended up at Mid-on! I was umpiring the game and completely lost all composure! Favourite Sledge: He wouldn't be a farmer, too much gets through his gate View Jason's Stats - HERE Will Harris Nickname: Will.I.Am Regular Team: 3rd XI Role in team: All rounder Best score and bowling figures?: 5 for 18 and 54 Not Out Cricket Idol: Michael Hussey Whats been your best game for the club and why? 2nd game of the season against Goldsithiney, they made 200 odd (i got 4 wickets :), Mark started off well... dad got in.. slow start but ended on 86 Not out!, i had 24, rexy had 9 , caleb had 20 and adam; was an amazing game! And the worst? I dont think i have had a worst game for the thirds because we did so well last season! Whats the funniest thing youve seen in cricket? 4th XI
Julian Faull Nickname: None at present that I'm aware of, although I was know as 'Noddy' at school. I can't remember the origin of it, as it was a long time ago. Role in team: Captain, lower order batsman and, nowadays, occasional purveyor of very slow leg breaks. Best score and bowling figures: 37 not out for Redruth 4th XI, 7-26 for Perranporth 2nd XI or 3-11 for Redruth 4th XI if it just relates to Redruth CC. I did have better figures when I played for the 3rd XI in the 1990s, but can't remember what they were! Cricket idol: I don't idolise sportsmen, but my favourite cricketer was Shane Warne. What was your best game for the club and why?: Against Beacon III in 2010 as I made 37 not out, my career best, and it was my first win as captain after several attempts And the worst?: Any where the team has been trounced or when I feel that I haven't contributed in some way. Whats the funniest thing youve seen in cricket?: I'd better not say due to the libel laws! Favourite Sledge: While playing against another team years ago, on a sodden pitch, batting against a left-handed bowler who couldn't stop bowling towards first slip, I didn't feel obligated to offer any shots.
